1912 - Frank Bickerton with Mawson's Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1913).
Intended for reconnaissance this monoplane crashed and was damaged before departure, it was taken anyway and converted to an air-tractor sledge over winter. Its use was limited and the engine soon seized.
