As an area of ocean surrounded by land the Arctic can be accessed via a number of air and sea ports, for most travellers these are usually in Europe or Canada. There are no particular ports where most cruises depart from with a range of last minute deals. Booking ahead before travelling becomes important if you are to join a cruise at all.
