Biographical notes
In charge of Expedition stores - Aurora 1911-1913
Single, of Melbourne, one-time Scholar in History of Oxford
University. At the outset he was to have been leader of a third
Antarctic Base which was eventually amalgamated with the Main
Base (Adelie Land). Here he had charge of the stores and during
the early summer of 1912 was leader of the Southern Supporting
Party.
