Birch Bolate or Slippery Jack Mushroom - Greenland

A birch bolate (slippery jack) mushroom pushing its way up through the dense (if small scale) undergrowth. These edible mushrooms are quite common in late summer in Greenland, though I never saw more than one at a time closer than a meter or so to the next one.
